Yongwoo Lee is a South Korean art historian and curator living between Shanghai and Seoul. Currently he is a professor at Tongji University and was previously artistic director of the Shanghai International Art City Research Institute and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of the Shanghai University.

He is the founder and co-curator, together with Hans Ulrich Obrist, of the Shanghai Project and was previously director of the Shanghai Himalayas Museum. He was the first president of the International Biennial Association, from 2013 to 2017.
