Stefano Casciu, a pupil of Mina Gregori in Florence, is a specialist in the history of dynastic collecting and patronage, in seventeenth-eighteenth century painting, in still life and in late-Baroque bronze sculpture. Since 2015 he has been Director of the Museum Center of Tuscany, an institute subsequently called the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Tuscany.
