The exhibition that Le Stanze della Fotografia has dedicated to Horst P. Horst is structured like a tree. This is stated, and the reasons for this description explained, by curator Anne Morin, in conversation with Denis Curti, co-curator of the exhibition and artistic director of the Venetian institution on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. The geometry of grace evoked by the exhibition’s title aptly represents the oxymoronic concept that underlies the photographer’s works and serves as a lens through which to view his oeuvre.
