The Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE) brings together eleven Venetian museums: the Doge’s Palace, the Museo Correr, the Torre dell’Orologio, Ca’ Rezzonico – the Museum of Eighteenth-Century Venice, Palazzo Mocenigo – Center for the History of Textiles, Costumes and Perfume, the Casa di Carlo Goldoni, Ca’ Pesaro – the International Gallery of Modern Art, Palazzo Fortuny, the Murano Glass Museum, the Burano Lace Museum and the Giancarlo Ligabue Museum of Natural History. Each location showcases a phase of the thousand-year history of the Serenissima, without neglecting the most current manifestation of creativity, thanks to the series MUVE Contemporaneo.

Established in 2008, the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia manages holdings that include over 700,000 works of art. In more recent years it has initiated important partnerships that go beyond the borders of the lagoon, dialoguing with the Centro Culturale Candiani and Forte Marghera in Mestre.
