Gary Garrels vaunts a 35-year career as a curator at several important museums in the United States. He currently works in New York as an independent curator. He has curated major monographic and group exhibitions at these and other American and international institutions, including the groundbreaking Willem de Kooning: The Late Paintings, the 1980s at New York’s MoMA in 1995.
